A piece of your own
Every ELIRD piece begins with a conversation. A form, a miniature painting, a sculptural detail: something in the work draws your attention and becomes the starting point for your piece.
All pieces are made individually to order. You may choose an existing ELIRD design or discuss a personal interpretation of its motifs, colours and details. Together, we establish the direction of the piece, confirm the size where needed, and agree on the price and expected completion time before making begins.
Throughout the process, you are in direct contact with us. Every stage of design and making takes place within our Sarajevo studio. Orders can be arranged entirely by email, and you are equally welcome to visit the studio by appointment.

Email info@elird.com with a photograph, link or name of the ELIRD piece that interests you. If you have particular motifs, colours or a date in mind, include those too. For a ring, please share your size if known.
We will respond with the possibilities, pricing and an estimated completion time. The entire order can be arranged by email, so you do not need to visit Sarajevo.

Yes. Depending on the design, we can explore different motifs, gemstones, colours or inscriptions. A personal reference or story can help guide these choices.
Each commission develops from an ELIRD design and remains within our artistic language. We will explain what is possible while preserving the proportions, character and wearability of the piece. As every piece is made individually, small variations are part of the work.

We do not usually provide a drawing of the finished piece. Before making begins, we carefully discuss and agree on the design reference and all relevant details: dimensions, proportions, thickness, colours, motifs, gemstones, their placement and any personal elements. This preparation is an essential part of every commission, ensuring that your wishes are clearly understood and the specifications are established in advance.
Designing and making are closely connected in our practice. Through processes such as wax modelling, sculpting and miniature painting, we develop the work directly at its actual scale. Certain relationships between volume, surface and detail are best resolved in three dimensions and in the materials themselves. A drawing therefore cannot fully represent the finished piece.
Where helpful, we may provide a preliminary sketch to clarify the composition or illustrate the proposed direction. This serves as a reference for discussion, rather than an exact preview.
Our artistic interpretation takes place within the agreed parameters. The character of a painted motif, the modelling of a relief and finer surface details develop through making, while remaining faithful to the design and specifications established together. Photographs of our existing work provide a clear reference for ELIRD’s artistic language, approach and level of detail.
Before you confirm your order, we make sure that both the agreed details and the scope of our interpretation are clear. If a particular feature is essential to you, we discuss it carefully at this stage and confirm how it will be incorporated.

We recommend having your finger measured at our studio or by a trusted jeweller. Let them know the approximate width and shape of the ring you are ordering, as these affect the fit. If you use a different sizing system, send us the size exactly as measured and we will confirm the equivalent.
Please avoid relying on printable charts, string or measurements taken from photographs. Many of our designs cannot be resized after completion, particularly those incorporating miniatures or intricate details. We will explain any limitations of your chosen design before you confirm the order.
If the ring is a surprise, contact us before choosing a size so we can discuss the most reliable approach.

Each quotation reflects the chosen design, its details and the work involved. We confirm the total price and payment instructions before you place your order. Quotations are normally valid for five to seven days; the exact validity period is stated in your offer.
A 50% advance payment confirms your order, with the remaining balance due before dispatch or at studio collection. Payment is made by bank transfer, or in person at the studio. Any bank transfer fees are payable by the client.
If you have a budget in mind, you are welcome to share it with your first enquiry so we can suggest suitable options.
-
Most pieces take approximately four to six weeks from receipt of your 50% advance payment, which confirms your order. The timeframe depends on the design and our existing studio commitments, and is agreed before you make the payment.
Delivery time is additional. If you are ordering for a wedding, anniversary or another particular date, please mention it in your first enquiry so we can allow time for delivery and confirm whether we can meet your deadline.
-
Delivery options are confirmed individually before you place your order. Where international shipping is available, we use DHL Express with insurance and tracking. Your quotation will confirm whether delivery is included or charged separately.
Import duties and local taxes are payable by the recipient and are separate from delivery costs. Customs clearance may also affect the arrival date.
Collection from our Sarajevo studio is arranged by appointment.
